May

9 May (London) Protest and Candle-lit vigil in support of Jeju Island

This vigil is in solidarity with people of Gangjeong Village, Jeju Island who are working to demand a halt to the building of a naval base on their Island. The island is of strategic importance to the US in its attempts to control China. Protests on the island have included many church leaders, communities and priests. Pax Christi is supporting this vigil. Find out more here

An opportunity for churches, schools, groups to focus on the 2012 theme "Displacement and Dispossession". Why not hold a prayer vigil or ensure prayers of intercession in your community Mass or mount an exhibition. Pax Christi have images that could be used. 8-9 June. Prayer Vigil at St Martin in the Fields on to launch the 100 Days of Peace. This will begin at 10.00pm on 8th June and finish at noon on 9th June.
